Justin Amick, a veteran restaurant and bar operator and acclaimed advanced sommelier is slated to open a 23,460 square foot upscale boutique bowling entertainment venue this Spring 2014. The Painted Pin, located at 737 Miami Circle NE, Atlanta, GA 30324, is in the heart of Buckhead's Miami Circle neighborhood.

Amick and his partner William Stallworth, a sales and financial veteran, plan to bring the hospitality business to the entertainment sector.

Comforting fare including wood fired pizzas, tacos, sandwiches and small plates will accompany a stellar beverage program boasting lane-side beer taps , craft beer, signature and classic cocktails, and artisanal wine by the glass.

In addition to 20 full service bowling lanes, classic and iconic interactive games including two customized indoor bocce courts, two 10 foot regulation basketball pop a shot, table shuffleboard, ping pong, skee-ball and Northamptonshire hood skittles will be available.

Located in an industrial warehouse space, décor is centered around traditional English prep accents, furniture and fabrics. Natural warehouse windows, stained concrete flooring, oversized chandeliers, gas lanterns, a dark oak topped bar with leather tufted siding and brass buckled straps are some of the items that will anchor this relaxed, yet modern, space. Custom chesterfield couches at all the lanes in dark brown, navy and green will add pops of color and comfort throughout. In the center of the space will be a bustling indoor courtyard gaming area with exposed brick walls lined with flora and fauna filled planters.

Amick is no stranger to the hospitality business. Part of a “new wave of vino pros” (CNN), he has worked closely with his father in their family business of Concentrics Restaurants, which develops nationally successful restaurant concepts across the country. Asthe manager of Atlanta’s always busy TWO urban licks and General Manager and Beverage Director for Parish Foods & Goods and Chef Richard Blais’ The Spence he is no stranger to volume. Prior to joining the family business, Amick worked in in Chef Tom Colicchio’s New York CRAFT Restaurant’s “Management Training Program” for 3 years and then the Napa Valley where he worked for the Trinchero Family Estates’ winemaking team.

“I am looking forward to bringing my hospitality and service background to the entertainment and bowling business. Little details like our personalized lane-side ball and shoe delivery coupled with great food, beverage and service are really my focus. We have broken away from the monotony of the typical bowling alley design and created ambiance, activity and energy right in the middle of our space. It’s going to be a lot of fun.” explains Amick.
